Your privacy is important. This information explains how Lyoness Asia-Pacific Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong, and its Australian-based affiliate, Lyoness Australia Pty Ltd (Lyoness, we or our) comply with Australian privacy requirements.  This information may be updated from time to time.
Lyoness’ system for complying with Australian privacy requirements includes:

Collecting your personal information

Our business involves direct contact with our members, and others involved in our Lyoness Loyalty Program, including our Loyalty Merchants.
When you register as a member of the Lyoness Loyalty Program, participate in the Lyoness shopping community, use the Lyoness website ( or apply for a job with Lyoness via the Lyoness job portal on, we collect personal information about you such as your name, your contact details, date of birth, bank details and other information about you such as about shopping transactions associated with calculation of your Member Benefits. 

We collect this information when we ask you for it and you provide it (including when you contact our Member inquiry line or otherwise contact us with a comment or inquiry, shop at a Lyoness Loyalty Merchant, participate in a competition or promotion, or subscribe to one of our newsletters). 
We may also collect your personal information from third parties (such as your Recommender) to enable us to contact you, and tell you about the Lyoness Loyalty Program and its features and benefits.

This information is collected by Lyoness Asia-Pacific Limited, which contracts directly with members of the Lyoness Loyalty Program in Australia, and also sometimes by Lyoness Australia Pty Ltd (which assists Lyoness Asia-Pacific Limited to administer and manage the Lyoness Loyalty Program in Australia) and/or Lyoness Group AG (Lyoness’ affiliate based in Austria which operates the Lyoness websites and online job portal, and other online/electronic technologies). Please note that the Lyoness websites may contain links to websites located in other countries, for which foreign personal information protection laws may apply.

Where you prefer that we do not collect your personal information, we may not be able to process and accept your membership application, manage your Lyoness membership account, calculate your Member Benefits including processing your Cashback rewards, or contact you.

Cookies and Web-tracking

Our websites use cookies. These are small text files which are stored in your computer and can be retrieved. The purpose of cookies is to enable you to subscribe to our services and to personalize the presentation of our websites for you.

You can access some of our website offers without having to register and/or log in. In this case certain information will be gathered automatically in order to collect statistical data regarding the usage and efficiency of our web offers and to adapt them to the needs of our users. Using your personal information

We use your personal information to operate the Lyoness Loyalty Program and for other activities in our business, and in our efforts to expand and improve our business.  Examples include:

  • to process your membership application when you apply to join the Lyoness Loyalty Program;
  • to administer and operate the Lyoness Loyalty Program, including processing, calculating and recording any of your benefits under the Lyoness Loyalty Program or Lyconet Marketing Program;
  • to confirm your identity, such as when you contact our Member inquiry line;
  • if you have previously consented to us, to provide you with marketing communications, newsletters and invitations and offers for products and services offered by Lyoness, our Loyalty Merchants or service providers as part of the Lyoness Loyalty Program, including new products and services that we or our Loyalty Merchants or service providers have not offered our Lyoness members before but we believe may be of interest to you (and we will provide you with an opportunity to opt out) and to assist in developing new products and services;
  • to notify you about any changes to our services, including our membership terms and conditions;
  • to administer promotional programs, such as promotions or competitions, sweepstakes, rewards and rebate programs, including exclusive member offers linked to our Lyoness Loyalty Program, the Lyconet Marketing Program or our Loyalty Merchants;
  • to operate programs and forums in different media in which you are able to share information, including your personal information, with us and publicly (on the Terms applicable);
  • to determine if you are eligible for certain products, services or offers;
  • for a business or professional relationship we may have with you;
  • if you apply for employment with us, to consider your application;
  • to amend records to remove personal information;
  • for other everyday business purposes that involve use of personal information.

Storing and disclosing your personal information

We use various technologies such as encryptions during data transmission (SSL-Encryption), firewalls, hacker-deterring programs and others to safeguard the personal information we store, as part of our business systems and processes. 
In using your personal information, we may pass on your personal information::

  • to other companies in the Lyoness group (listed online at;
  • to others, like our agents, contractors and service providers, who help us to provide services to you, provided that we require them to abide by this Privacy Policy;
  • to our Lyoness Loyalty Merchants (listed online at, some of whom may be located outside Australia);
  • to your Recommending Person and the Recommending Person of your Recommending Person;
  • to other Marketers in your Upline and Downline, if you are a Lyconet Marketer; or
  • in other ways that come up in our business from time to time.

As a worldwide shopping community, your personal information may be held and processed overseas by our related companies (including in Liechtenstein) or our service providers (located in countries including the United States, Hong Kong, Austria and Australia).

When we pass on or share your personal information in this way, we take steps to ensure it is treated in the same way that we would treat it.

We do our best to keep our records of your personal information up to date and accurate and not to keep personal information that is no longer needed.

We also share with others and disclose information from which personal information has been removed so that no privacy is affected.

We sometimes have to pass on personal information for legal or safety reasons or other special circumstances. 




If you apply for one of the jobs advertised on our Lyoness job portal, you will be asked to fill out an application and/or upload information, which will contain any one of your following personal information:

The personal information we collect and save are your title, first name, last name, address including street address, ZIP/post code (if any) and city, date of birth, native language, nationality, Email address, telephone number, highest completed level of education, expected salary, current gross annual salary and earliest start date. In addition, you can list any special knowledge and qualifications such as IT skills, language skills, etc. In addition you can provide information regarding your education and training, professional experience, etc. These personal information are collected by Lyoness Group AG, located in Graz, Austria.

You also have the option of uploading files onto our server such as, e.g. your curriculum vitae, personal statement, photo, transcripts, and any additional information relevant to the job. In addition, you can send us a message in the text field provided for this purpose. These are also collected by Lyoness Group AG, located in Graz, Austria.

If you apply for a job located in Australia, Lyoness Group AG will transfer the collected personal information aforementioned to Lyoness Asia-Pacific Limited and/or its Australian subsidiary Lyoness Australia Pty Limited, for the processing of your application. All personal information collected will be for the processing and considering of your job application only and be kept in strict confidence. Should your application is unsuccessful, all personal information collected will be destroyed within 6 months of the application date.

We will respond as soon as we reasonably can including, in the case of access and correction requests, if we are unable to provide you with access (such as when we no longer hold or use the information).

We do not impose any charge for a request for access, but we may charge you a reasonable fee for our costs associated with providing you with access and retrieval costs.

For complaints about privacy, we will establish in consultation with you a reasonable process, including time frames, for seeking to resolve your complaint.
